Kavitha, current disciple of Shri.Chandrasekharan (SIFAS), started learning Veena eight years ago under the tutelage of Smt.Jayashree Aravind, senior disciple of Shri.K.S. Naranswamy. She won accolades for Veena recitals in Mulund Fine Arts & in college festivals in the senior category.

She was awarded Cultural talent Scholarship for a period of ten years by the Govt. of India for specialized training in Carnatic Music. She has also won awards at Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha, Music triangle, Bombay Tamil Sangham, Kala Mandal, and other institutions for Music & Fine Arts.
