Shriranshini began learning the Veena under her grand mother Mrs.Vimaleswary and her mother Dr.Susithra in 2001 at the age of 7 and continued for two years under them. She then continued her learning under Mrs Meenakshi Somasundram, at SIFAS. She currently learns from Shri Venkataramani Chandrasekaran, at SIFAS.
She performed at SIFAS in 2004 and at the concourse level of the Esplanade theatres in 2005 under the guidance of Mrs Meenakshi Somasundram. She has also performed at Changkat Community center and at the Sri Veeramakali temple in 2006 under the guidance of Mr Venkataramani Chandrasekaran.
