Sandeep Ramachandran, aged 12, has been learning Carnatic Violin in SIFAS since he was 6. Having initially trained under Shri T R Vijayakumar and Shri Shertalai Sivakumar, he is currently under the tutelage of Shri N N Ganesh Kumar in SIFAS.
In September 2004, he won the first prize in Violin Intermediate category of the National Indian Music competition held by NAC. He bagged the Best Student award in the 5th year Violin exams conducted by SIFAS in June 2006.
He has performed many concerts and also learns Carnatic vocal under Shri N R Prashanth in SIFAS for the past 3 years.
