Saroopa is a graduate of the world renowned Institute for music and dance, Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts. Her exposure to dance started very early. She joined Kalakshetra at the age of 7. She initially pursued 5 years of part-time diploma and later did her 6 years of full time course in Bharathanatyam. With the able guidance and training of her gurus, she developed a strong sense of passion for this style.
Saroopa has traveled widely giving solo performances and has also accompanied eminent dancers & choreographers in Indian and western productions. She joined SIFAS as a dance tutor in the year 2005.
