Shruti is 11 years old. She has been learning Indian Classical Carnatic music from Smt. Guruvayur Usha Ramachandran, daughter of Mridangam maestro Kalaimaamani Sri Guruvayur Dorai at Laasya Arts, Kuala Lumpur, from the age of five.
Shruti has till date released two albums and has been endorsed by “The Malaysia Book of Records” as the youngest Indian female singer to release an audio/video album. She has been performing extensively in Malaysia and India .She has performed and featured in various TV channels in India and is a regular performer in Radio Malaysia, TV2(RTM), Astro Vaanavil. She has also been interviewed by Radio Singapore Oli 98.3FM. She is currently working on her third album due to be released in mid 2007.
