Dhriti commenced learning Bharathanatyam at the Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts in Chennai, under the guidance of Smt. Chitra Visweswaran. On moving to Singapore in 2001, she continued her training at the SIFAS under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Minal S Merai.  

She completed her Certificate examination in Bharathanatyam in the year 2005, securing a distinction.  She has performed solo and group items in temples and community centres in Singapore. She also performed a solo recital at the Hindu Temple of Rochester, NY, in July 2005.
 
Dhriti had her Arangetram in Chennai on August 6, 2006, in the presence of eminent dancers/ Gurus such as Padmashri  Adyar K Lakshman and Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan.
