Lavanya Raghuraman graduated from SIFAS in Bharathanatyam with a ‘Natya Visharad’ title and “Best Student” award.

Since her Arangetram at Chennai in 1999, she has been performing regularly in Singapore and India. Her performances at Jubilee Hall, Singapore, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and Karthik Fine Arts, Chennai were supported by the NAC. Her Chennai performances have received laudable reviews in the “The Hindu”. Recently, Lavanya participated in an intensive dance camp conducted by the Dhananjayans at Yogaville, USA.  She is also an accomplished singer, violinist and Veena player.

Lavanya is a disciple of the Dhananjayans and granddaughter of Sangita Kalanidhi Dr. S Ramanathan.
