About The Artiste(s)

Anupama joined SIFAS in 1997 and has been a disciple of Guru Girish K Panickker since July 2000.
She was awarded a Certificate on completion of her course in 2002.  She had her Arangetram in July 2003 in Chennai with Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman as the chief guest and Sri S Rajaram, then Director of Kalakshetra, presiding over the function.  She has performed during the music season between 2003 and 2006 in Chennai and took part in a group event in commemoration of Smt Rukmini Devi’s centenary celebrations at Kalakshetra.

Anupama has been awarded the Diploma in Bharathanatyam as well as the Natya Visharad award by SIFAS.
