Shri Tiruchy L Saravanan, a noted flautist is a disciple of late Sri K S Narayanan, late Sri V Sundaresan, “Kalaimamani” Nagai R. Muralidharan & Padmashri Dr. N Ramani. A graduate of Indian Music from Madras University and a graded artiste of AIR, he has excelled both as a soloist and as an accompanist to several eminent artistes.
He has received many awards and titles including the Senior Flautist award from the Madras Music Academy, the Yuva Kala Bharathi from Bharat Kalachar. As a composer, his orchestral compositions for SIFAS have won prizes in the National Arts Competition for 2004 & 2006. He teaches Carnatic Vocal & Flute in SIFAS.
