Smt. Sucheta Bhattacharya started her musical lessons from Dr. Pratusha Chowdhury at the age of 6, and later became a young artiste in Doordarshan and Akashvani. Later on, Sucheta took lessons from Srinihar Ranjan Bandyopadhyay and Pandit A T Kanan at Kolkata. At present, she is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Pandit Debu Chowdhury. She has received the prestigious award “SURO – MANI” from Sur Singaar Samsad of Bombay in 1997 and got her M. A. Degree in Vocal Classical Music.

She has performed in numerous concerts and has won many awards. She has also performed in front of maestros of Indian Classical Music and Dance including Kathak Guru Pandit Birju Maharaj and singers Pandit Rajan and Sajan Mishra.
