INTRODUCTION:

The society expanded its Fine Arts curriculum by starting a school of Visual Arts in August 2004, which provides a unique and wide ranging art education for both children and adults based on global best practices. Since then, the size and popularity of the children’s and adults’ classes have been growing. Currently there are more han 150 students attending a range of lessons. An art library has also been set up with the help of the show library of the lasalle. SIA college of the art.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

Our art program with the motto “Art is Knowledge made Visible” is aimed at creating a society that is literate and imaginative; competent and creative.

OUR APPROACH:

We have two main programs, one for adults and another for children. Our children’s program is driven by studies that show that children from kindergarten age to college going students are capable of creative skills at a younger age.

CHILDREN ARTS CLASSES

The children art course includes basic drawing, advanced drawing and painting. Some of the elements incorporated into the course are Artistic Perception, Creative Expression, Historical and Cultural content, Aesthetic valuing and connections and relationships and applications.

The children art classes are taught by both Mr.N.Prakash and Mr S.Srinivasan Classes are conducted on weekdays and weekends ( Art materials provided by the Institute)

ADULT ARTS CLASSES:

Our adults’ classes are designed for both beginner and experienced artists. The adults art lessons includes the language of art, the media of art, the art appreciation theory, basic drawing, life drawing, painting, portrait painting, figure painting, water color, oil painting. The adult arts classes would be instructed by Mr. Prakash and Mr S.Srinivasan.

CLASS TIMINGS:

Adult classes are conducted everyday from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm except on Monday and Friday.
