Guru Tripunithura Sreekanth is a disciple of Prof. Cherthala S Dhinesh and the legendary Guru Padmabushan T V Gopala Krishnan. Subsequently, he became a disciple of Mridangam Guru Mannargudi A Easwaran.

FIRST CLASS DIPLOMA & MASTER'S
Guru Sreekanth holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mridangam with First Class from RLV Music College of Fine Arts, Mahatma Gandhi University. In addition, he has completed the prestigious Ganabushanam (4 year) Diploma with First Class in Mridangam from the same college.

TEACHING AND PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE
He served as an adjunct lecturer in Sree Sankara University, Kalady for three years and Govt. RLV College of Music and Fine Arts in Tripunithura for six years. He has accompanied senior vocal artistes, Guruji Padmabushan T V Gopala Krishnan, Sri Aleppey Venkatesan, Sri P Unnikrishnan, Akkarai Sisters and other top artists. He has also accompanied Bharatanatyam dancers like Sri C V Chandrasekhar and Padmabhushan Sri V P Dhananjayan’s. Guru Sreekanth has performed extensively in India and abroad and has conducted several workshops and lecture demonstrations in India and in the US over the last six years. He is also a recipient of the Kanchi Kamakoti Asthana Vidwan title in 2017.

SINGAPORE INDIAN FINE ARTS SOCIETY
Guru Sreekanth joined SIFAS in June 2013. Since then, he has represented SIFAS and performed externsively, often in collaboration with contemporary, folk or non-Indian musicians and artistes, notably in Gwacheon Festival (Seoul), Voice Associates, ArtWalk 2019 and Damaru’s Kalinga. He has also led initiatives and been instrumental in many of SIFAS’ productions, particularly in SIFAS Festival 2019’s Saptadvika at Esplanade. Several of Guru Sreekanth‘s students have performed outstandingly in SIFAS’ exams and received the title of Vadya Visharad. His students have also clinched top prizes in prestigious music competitions under his guidance.
