SIFAS is a society of members. Each student (if 18 years of age and above) or the student's parent (if the student is below 18 years old) must become a member of SIFAS in order to enrol in the Academy. Prospective members are required to fill in the Membership Application Form found below:

ADMISSIONS

- SIFAS is a society of members. Each student above 18 years of age must become a member of the SIFAS society in order to enroll in the Academy.
- The membership is for the family and extends to the member’s spouse and children below the age of 18.
- Annual Ordinary membership Fee is $100 per year. Life membership fee is $1000.
- Members who join between July and December, the ordinary membership fee is $50.
- Membership renewals are due in January of each year irrespective of the month of joining as a member.
- Failure to renew membership before 31st March will disqualify a member and his/her children (if tagged under the same membership) from taking classes at SIFAS
- Membership fees are payable irrespective of any academic breaks, as continuous active membership is a mandatory requirement for maintaining studentship status.
Step 1 - As mentioned above, the first step is the member registration.
Step 2 - Students who wish to re-register should submit the Student Re-registration form 1 week before the end of the break period.
- Students who take a break, regardless of the number of months , are required to pay a re-registration fee $100.
- You are required to make full payment before resuming the classes.
Step 3- All new students must pay a deposit equivalent to 1-month fee for each discipline enrolled, which is held to adjust unpaid fees if the student withdraws without giving required notice. The deposit is refunded in case of clean withdrawal (no pending invoice).
- After registering as a member, studentship registration is made under the membership and class assigned.
- Students will be required to make payments for membership, registration, and a one-month deposit along with their first month tuition fees.
- Students who join an additional discipline at any point during the Academic Year will be required to pay a one-month refundable deposit for the new discipline.
- Members’ children aged 6 and above may enrol for the Dance/Music/Visual Arts preparatory classes.
- However, they are not eligible to register for the 1st year examination until they are 7 years old.
- Students joining the Academy from another institution are required to meet with the discipline tutors, who will assess the student and determine the level of admission.
- Such students will only be allowed to join up to Level 4 and take the examination upon completion of at least 1 year at SIFAS.
- Students/Persons, who are visiting Singapore or wish to take classes for very short periods, are allowed to join the Academy to take special classes.
- They are required to pay one-time non-refundable registration fee of $100 at the time of joining.
- The tuition fee will be at a rate of S$75/- per hour and must be paid along with the registration fee.

FEES

The annual membership fee is $100 per year. New members joining between July and December will pay a pro-rated fee of $50.

Membership renewals are due in January each year, irrespective of which month a member joins. Failure to renew membership will disqualify a member and/or his/her children from studying at SIFAS.

Members can also opt for Life Membership at $1000.

Students are required to pay a one time registration fee of $100.
A monthly tuition fee is payable based on the number of tuition hours, class type and year of study. All monthly tuition fees are due by the first 14 days of each month. Students who do not pay their full monthly tuition fees by the 14th of the month will be required to pay a $5 late charge per discipline, per student, per month.

Failure to make payment of tuition fees for two consecutive months will result in automatic suspension of studentship. Failure to make payment of tuition fees for three consecutive months will result in automatic termination of studentship and forfeiture of deposit. Tuition fees are payable as per normal during examinations.

For students enrolled in 2-hour classes where one hour falls on a weekday and the other on a weekend, the monthly fee will be charged based on the 2-hour weekend class rate.
All new students must pay a deposit equivalent to a one-month tution fee for each discipline enrolled. This is held to adjust unpaid fees if the student withdraws without giving a one-month notice. The deposit is refunded if the one-month notice of withdrawal is received by the Academy Office. Students who join an additional discipline at any point during the Academic Year will be required to pay a one-month refundable deposit for the new discipline. The deposit fees will be refunded back to your bank account if the forms are submitted promptly and there are no outstanding payment to be made.
SIFAS provides financial assistance to Singapore Citizens and PR students who are fiscally tested so that they are not deprived of access to training in the Indian fine arts and the experience of a rich culture.

SIFAS offers financial assistance through various modes, as follows:
- SINDA Equal Opportunity Fund: This fund covers an amount of $1,000 per year for applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. The purpose of this fund is to provide children/ youth from low income families to take part in non-academic enrichment programmes of their choosing.
- Bursary:
1. If per capita household income is less than or equal to $1,000, eligible students will receive a 90% fee subsidy, capped at $1,000 per year.
2. If per capita household income is between $1,001 and $1,500, eligible students will receive a 75% fee subsidy, capped at $1,000 per year.
3. If per capita household income is between $1,501 and $2,000, eligible students will receive a 60% fee subsidy, capped at $1,000 per year.
- Scholarships for non-Indians: Scholarships are available for non-Indians who are interested in joining SIFAS. Applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for eligibility.
- Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Cultural Scholarship: Scholarships are awarded to the highest performing students in each department before completion of the Diploma.
If a student is enrolled in 3 or more disciplines, or if a member has student(s) enrolled in 3 or more disciplines, each student is eligible for a bundle of discount of 10% on 6 months cumulative tuition fees for their respective disciplines. Bundle discounts are given in the months of Jan and July for students who have paid consecutively for 6 months. Students will not be eligible for bundle discounts if they have taken a break, or was suspended or withdrawn within each bundle discount cycle.
