SIFAS ACADEMY

An arts education that instills a high level of expertise,

while building appreciation and a shared understanding

SIFAS Academy provides rigorous training, in-depth knowledge and a practice-led syllabus course for all disciplines, of which several are accredited by the University of Madras and the Kalakshetra Foundation.

SIFAS has longstanding relationships with acclaimed institutions such as the Madras Music Academy, the Kalakshetra Foundation, Kathak Kendra and the University of Delhi, which provide assistance to us for syllabus development, tutor recruitment, examiners and performance collaborations.

CURRICULUM

SIFAS’ curriculum is divided into three stages and The Academy maintains a close adherence to a pre-set syllabus, which is revised and updated regularly.

CERTIFICATES

Students receive digital certificates upon completing each Level and an additional certificate for each Stage. Physical certificates are awarded at Levels 6 & 8 only.

DIPLOMA

Students receive a Diploma upon completing the final stage (Level 8).

EXAMINATIONS

Students may enrol for examinations after 1–2 academic years, upon their tutor’s recommendation & completion of the minimum required instruction hours. External examiners from reputed institutions assess students at higher levels.

OPPORTUNITIES

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
SIFAS provides students with platforms to perform and showcase their talent and skills. Student Nites, Academy Day, SIFAS Festival events, outreach programmes, solo performances and other performing arts productions are just a few instances of such performance opportunities.

JOINT PROGRAMMES & PROJECTS
At SIFAS, we continuously strive to form collaborations with our partner organisations, arts groups and educational institutions to create mutually beneficial programmes and projects for our students such as performances, digital productions and workshops.

THE SIFAS EXPERIENCE
The Academy invites and provides avenues for every student to learn further by playing a role in SIFAS' events and programmes, thereby allowing them to contribute back to the Society.
