ROOTS
Guru Jyothishmathi Sheejith started her initial training from Vidushi Smt. Subhadramma. She later joined Kalakshetra for higher studies where she learnt under Vidwan Vairamangalam Lakshmi Narayanan, Vidwan D. Pasupathi, Vidwan S. Rajaram.

POSTGRADUATE & AWARDS
Guru Jyothishmathi Sheejith completed her Post Graduate course at the esteemed Kalakshetra Foundation. She is currently under the mentorship of Smt. Mangalam Shankar. She was awarded the Best Singer title by Narada Gana Sabha in 2008 and by Krishna Gana Sabha in 2010.

TEACHING, COMPOSING & PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE
With 8 years of experience as a music teacher at Kalakshetra, Guru Jyothishmathi has contributed significantly to the institution. She has had the honor of performing in the celebrated Ramayana series by the Kalakshetra Repertory and various other productions directed by Rukmini Devi Arundale.

She is recognized for her innovative music compositions for both thematic productions and Bharatanatyam repertoire. Some of her notable works include Masquerade, Man in the Iron Mask by Kalakshetra, Parinamam, Pravaha, Krishna Bharatam, Don Quixote, and Ritu, in collaboration with Sheejith Krishna and other prominent artists.

Guru Jyothishmathi has also accompanied esteemed performers  across the globe such as Prof. CV Chandrasekhar, Smt. Vijayanthimala, the Dhananjayans, Smt. Krishnaveni, Leela Samson, and Malavika Sarukkai.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS
In 2011 Guru Jyothishmathi co founded the Sahradaya Foundation, an institute with a keen vision to impart the practice and performance of Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Music. She heads the Music wing of Sahrdaya, training students in vocal music. She tours the USA every year, presenting workshops on Music for dance and providing vocal support for arangetrams and other performances.
