ROOTS
Learning Bharatanatyam from the age of 5, Guru K H Haritha, has been trained in the prestigious Indian dance institute, Kalakshetra (Chennai), wherein she also did her post-graduate studies in the dance form. 


ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Guru Haritha has taught and performed in various productions by Kalakshetra, as one of their principal artistes. Recipient of a scholarship from the ministry of culture, Government of India and of the diamond jubilee fellowship from the Department of Culture (Kerala) for talented young artistes, she has received several awards, including the Shankara Menon Award by Kalakshetra in 2005 and citations from the Kalakshetra Repertory Company (year 2006-2007), as well as won several classical and folk dance competitions.

Guru Haritha has performed in prestigious concerts hosted by Kalakshetra across the globe and in innumerable self-directed creative dance productions, having established her own dance production company, Nrittaratna. 

 
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Guru Haritha has been teaching from 2007, in India and abroad, and has even taught in SIFAS for two years, 2015 – 2017. An advocate of showcasing contemporary themes through dance to make them relevant for the youth, she strives to realize the potential power of Art in bringing about big changes in day-to-day life.
