INTERN - ACADEMY

VISUAL ARTIST, GRAPHIC DESIGNER & SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING EXECUTIVE
​

​Responsibilities:
  • ​Creating digital content for all social media accounts
  • Designing of posters, online artworks, and physical collaterals (brochures, booklets, etc.) for all programmes and initiatives
  • Collaborating with Marketing manager for design directives
  • Photography & Videography of all events, programmes and activities and important meetings
  • Storyboarding and planning for editing and production of videos
  • Liaising with vendors (videography, equipment rental, etc.) to ensure smooth production of video content, if necessary
  • Project management of art installations and wall mural projects
  • Conceptualisation and creation of original commissioned art works ​

Requirements:
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Diploma or Degree in Arts, Communications or Design
  • At least 2 years experience as a visual artist, graphic designer or marcomms executive (preferred)
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Diverse portfolio of creative artworks, mural arts, videos, digital projects, etc. 
  • Interest or experience in Classical Indian Arts (preferred)

SG United Traineeships


ARCHIVAL PROJECT MANAGER
Reporting to the Principal and Vice Principal of SIFAS, Archival Project Manager will be developing a sustainable standard protocol for digital archival of SIFAS resources, material and creations and embed the same for long term preservation by the institution. 

Responsibilities:
  • Developing data on SIFAS’ online catalogue and contributing to SIFAS' blog or media campaigns, when necessary
  • Migrating SIFAS' physical server to the cloud by digitising important physical documents, books or artworks
  • Systematically organising and naming files according to standard operating protocols and preparing folder descriptions to facilitate easy retrieval of files
  • Regularly updating and maintaining digital archives and databases
  • Ensuring key preservation functions (acquisition, documentation, cataloguing, access) are carried out 
  • Manage in-house collections management system, liaising with system integrators and vendors 
  • Oversee traffic with archives, distributors and owners 
  • Making edits to documents, photos and videos and audio files, as necessary
  • Liaising with music and dance specialists for the expert catalogue of audio and video libraries and other ephemera
  • Identifying processes or tasks for improvement to enhance archival efficiency

Education Qualifications:
  • Polytechnic Diploma or any other Diploma

Duration of Traineeship:
  • 12 months

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and 
  • Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020.​

MARKETING/PR & COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE
​ 

Reporting to the Principal and Vice Principal of SIFAS, the Marketing/PR & Communications Executive will be responsible for content creation for social media, specifically for videos, and manage the digitisation of our music and video libraries to engage wider audiences.

​Responsibilities:
  • Marketing Campaign development for programmes, events and projects
  • Development and understanding of marketing strategies for cultural arts organisation 
  • Portfolio development 
  • Media Project management 
  • Developing digital marketing plan/campaigns to populate engaging content on all our channels, especially YouTube.
  • Using video and sound recordings from our archives to create content
  • Uploading our music libraries onto digital platforms to make them accessible to the public
  • Storyboarding and planning for the production of videos
  • Liaising with vendors (videography, equipment rental, etc.) to ensure smooth production of video content
  • Designing of artworks for online/print use

Competencies:
  • Marketing Campaign development for programmes, events and projects 
  • Development and understanding of marketing strategies for cultural arts organisation  
  • Portfolio development  
  • Media Project management

Internships


DIGITAL ARTS INTERN
​

Responsibilities:
  • Creating an online virtual gallery of SIFAS visual art works
  • Curating at least 2 exhibitions showing SIFAS’ works or in partnership with other arts institutions or organisations and monitoring user or audience feedback and experience 
  • Helping with the Digital Archive Museum conceptualisation and navigation design 
  • Any other admin tasks, as necessary 

Requirements:
  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Currently a student in a diploma or degree course
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Able to commit to 5 months
