ROOTS
Guru Lalitha Venketasubramanian is an experienced Bharatanatyam artiste trained in the Kalakshetra style since young under the late Mrs Neila Sathyalingam, a graduate of Kalakshetra and founder of Apsaras Arts Singapore.

Having completed her Arangetram in 1993, Guru Lalitha has engaged continually with Bharatanatyam, upskilling herself in various areas over the years. She is also an accountant and an Accredited Tax Advisor with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals.

ARTISTIC  AND TEACHING EXPERIENCES
Guru Lalitha Venketasubramanian has performed extensively both in Singapore and internationally. In addition to propagating the traditional repertoire, she also explores new horizons, presenting programmes with contemporary themes underpinned by a traditional core. As a trained Ministry of Education (Singapore) teacher with a Masters in Education (English Language), she brings her knowledge of pedagogy to bear in the teaching of dance while her involvement with mental health advocacy has furthered her interest to propagate the arts given their ability to engender holistic wellbeing.
