Guru G Prakash has been a Western and Carnatic keyboard instructor for the past 18 years.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS His achievements include receiving distinctions in keyboard from Trinity College, London, and being awarded a Shree Vidhwan in Classical and Western Keyboard in Grade 8 with Distinction and a Vadhya Visharadha Diploma in Mridangam, Gatam and Kanjira from the Tamil Nadu Government Music College, Chennai. He had studied under the tutelage of Guru P Venkatsubramaniam and Guru Papanasam K R Chandru for Carnatic keyboard, and Guru Avey Kannan and Guru Chandra Mohan for Western keyboard. PERFORMANCES & AWARDS He also has had the opportunity to perform at the Tamil Nadu Government Music College and at Kalaignar, Jaya and Sun TV for musical programmes. In 2015, he was awarded the Best Teacher Award as part of the Sahana Fine Arts Annual Day. His most recent award in January 2019 is Vadhiya Praveena from Sravanalaya Isai Peedam, Chennai.
