ROOTS
Guru T P Nishant did his initial training for 6 years, under the tutelage of Smt. Vatsala. For 11 years he learnt under Chandramana Narayanan Namboothiri, and later advanced training under Guru Mavelikkara Prabhakara Varma. He is the disciple of Padmabhushan, Sangeetha Kalaacharya P. S. Narayanaswami (direct disciple of Dr. Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer).

Guru Nishant holds a Master's Degree with top rank from the University of Calicut.

He is an All India Radio accredited 'A' grade artist.

AWARDS & PERFORMANCES
Guru Nishant is a seasoned artiste who has performed regularly in top musical institutes including Swathi Thirunal Sangeetha Sabha, Chennai Music Festival, and Madras Music Academy. He is a recipient of the 'Kanchi Kamakoti Asthana Vidwan' title and has performed extensively at various sabhas in India.

​SINGAPORE INDIAN FINE ARTS SOCIETY
Guru Nishant joined SIFAS as a Carnatic Vocal tutor in March 2011. At SIFAS, he has trained many senior students for solo performances and competitions and several of his students have done exceptionally well during annual exams.
