SIFAS, a beacon of classical fine arts was established on 9th May 1949 by 12 visionary individuals.
Three years later, the first classes began at a private residence on Rangoon road; in 1959, the then Minister of Culture, S Rajaratnam, inaugurated the SIFAS academy.
Achievements in 2019
The year 2019 was pivotal, with major projects reaching completion. We celebrated our accomplishments with the community and partners who supported us throughout the journey. Our focus on sustainability began to show results.
